The 2026 series is a go!
We are awaiting Kartsport NZ to confirm its calendar so we can do the same - our intended dates and location are shown to the right.
MiniGP Series classes are as follows:
1. Non competition - for those new or younger than 7 years
2. 110cc Auto 7-10 years*
3. 160 Junior 11-15 years*
4. 160 Senior 16+ years*
5. 190 Senior 16+ years*
6. SS150 NZSBK aligned 11-18*years
Age ranges are recommendations - MiniGP Academy NZ has final approval of competitor entry which will be based on skill and experience.
Packages including bike sharing options, hire gear and mechanical support available.
Race Numbers
The Road Race Trust requires racers to register the number they wish to run for the series. If you plan on sharing machines that is fine and long as the number is register in each class for the individual riders.

What is MiniGP?
MiniGP bikes are purpose built road based machines built for juniors to hone their riding skills.
They have wheels that are either 10 or 12 inches in diameter and have engines that are either 110cc,160cc or 190cc.
The bikes predominantly ride and compete on outdoor Karting tracks. Here is a clip of a MiniGP race at Tokoroa in the Waikato.
